Really, what more could you ask for? For the vintage lover, you’ll recognize the design. They have the feel of those old wooden handled sewing bags your grandma probably sported around, or if you’re anything like us, that you carry around due to your love of old vegan things.
Keep the vintage feel but with these purses give it an updated look while contributing to a great company. Mad imports is a socially and environmentally responsible company that offers handmade handbags and accessories from Kenya and Madagascar.

Rain boots for the spring are one of those things that you find yourself wishing you had as you’re slushing through mud on your way to work. Sure, you remembered your umbrella but what good does that do you if you’re soaked to the ankle in squishy earth. Check out these funky rain boots and be prepared.

A bag to bring with you to the beach (we know, it’s still February) has to be made of straw or fabric, so you either don’t care if it gets dirty, or you can throw it in the washer. These fabric bags make a good choice- especially the first and third. The middle one would probably be better for simply summer fun, not so much beachy.

Wouldn’t it be great if all designers who didn’t use animal products in a shoe labeled it vegan? Or had a little logo on the bottom that meant “suitable for vegetarians.” That’s what the bottom of Stella’s shoes say. Ah well. Steve Madden doesn’t do that but he should. But even though they aren’t labeled the way we’d like them to, he does have a variety of veg options. Not a huge percentage, but with careful searching, they are there.
PS: All of these shoes are available in a variety of colors.

Trends. There is a new trend every season, and they are repeated every few years. What’s old is new and what’s new is old. That’s the the truth about fashion. Right now, metallic sandals are definitely in the lime light if you’ve got the guts to wear them. They are definitely not for everyone, and good advice remains that you should never give into a trend just because it’s popular. But if you like it, you’ve got social patterns on your side.

At least over here near NYC, we’ve had a ridiculously warm February. At this rate March is going to be in the 70’s (Yeah, this frightens us too). But while doing everything you can to reduce your footprint and help the world out, you still need to dress for this creepy weather. Here are some more springy shoes for you to look through.

There is nothing handier than a big ol bag you can stuff your gym clothes into on your way out the door. One bag designated for your gross stuff before and after the workout. But, you’ll want to be crafty and get something stylish so people won’t think that the odor (smelling like week old gym socks) is coming from you. Your bag will look too innocent, too adorable for that kind of assumption. So, go ahead and cram in those nasty sneakers you wouldn’t be caught dead in any other place but the gym. No one will suspect it’s you.

From tiny to messenger bag in three very different looks, take your pick of these wonderful vegan bags. We have Free People and Anthrologie to thank for these (although if memory serves, they are owned by the same company).
Perhaps you need a new messenger bag for school, or a nice clutch for evenings out, or even a little cute tropical looking clutch for your next beach visit. And if you do have a beach visit planned, consider us jealous.
