Your Founder and Hostess

Ali Berman worked as a fashion model in New York and Paris for two years while attending Sarah Lawrence College. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence with a focus in creative writing, Ali followed her passion for animal rights and began working for Animal Welfare Trust.

Ali is currently project director for one of AWT’s main projects, SAGA (Students Animal Guardian Alliance) where she helps high school students take action in their schools and communities for animals.

Ali Berman started Swankyveg with the desire to combine two major interests: animal rights and fashion. In addition to Swankyveg and her position at Animal Welfare Trust, Ali is also writing her first novel while she works towards her masters degree in fiction from Sarah Lawrence.
