Vegan Athletic Shoes

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

It’s been quite a while since we’ve posted any athletic shoes. Vegans are an active bunch and need footware to accomodate their livestyles. So here are three delicious looking veg compatible athletic shoes from brands you know and trust. When it comes to sneakers you want to buy from the best. And because synthetics are so light weight and durable, more and more companies are using non leather materials in their shoes.

New Balance ‘757′ Running Shoe - $89.95
New Balance ‘WCT1003W’ Tennis Shoe - $109.95
Adidas Women’s Adifusion MC Running Shoe - $99.95

It was big news when Stella McCartney agreed to design a line of athletic gear for Adidas. When it came out, many were frustrated with the price tag but the line continues to flourish (since her designs are adorable).

Hint: Sometimes Adidas outlets such at the one at Woodbury Commons in New York carry Stella’s designs for half the price.

So lets be happy adidas has an alternative to the kangaroo skin shoes they refuse to stop selling. Well, maybe happy is too strong a word…

Yashila - $155
Kasi - $150
Thala - $95
Sports Jacket - $350
Run Tank - $80
Women’s Ready to Sport - $225

Sometimes when you wear an athletic shoe, you don’t necessarily want to go running or do more than take a nice stroll. You want something lighter and less clunky than a typical athletic shoe that’s designed to protect your foot from high impact movements. That’s when you put on a casual, sleek everyday shoe that crosses between a sneaker and a flat.

Puma has a few nice designs that are leather free to choose from. Pair the little ballet flat with a skirt or the other two more sneaker-like sneakers with jeans for a nice casual outing.

Tia Wn’s - $63.95
La Bamba Wn’s
- $78.95
Cell Therid Wn’s - $93.95
